This document defines the course project language that you will be building a compiler for.

I notice that two different forms of the "not equal" operator are mentioned:
Code:
not =
in the grammar, and
Code:
!=
in the description. Are both forms acceptable or is one an error?

The != on the 3rd page of the assignment is a typo. It should be not = the only legal form
in the language

I just realized that the document linked to here varies significantly from the one that was handed out in class. The physical copy uses "&" and "!" operators while this PDF uses "and" and "not". Also, in the physical copy, "begin" and "end" are used to delineate scope, while this pdf specifies curly brackets. This contradicts what we've seen in class. Which language reference is correct? Was the wrong PDF uploaded here?
